There are no separate phenomena as only physical or psychological. They both are intertwined. It is the matter, organic and inorganic, which exists according to a set of predetermined laws: there is a little anarchy in nature. Whereas animals live according to a set of rules, which promotes their healthy survival, and they reproduce in the correct season. Whereas the leaves of plants follow a pattern that ensures that leaves, flowers and fruits grow in a particular order nothing else. Eventually the diseases would attack the humans if they do not live their lives according to the right principles and those lives in a proper way. The treatment consists of powders, tablets, decoctions, medicated oils etc. generally prepared from natural herbs, plants and minerals. For the treatment Panch Karma therapy is also used in many diseases. It is a purifying therapy which enhances the metabolic process through food and other herbal medicines. According to Ayurveda, the human body consists of three primary life forces or biological humors, which are Vatha, Pitha and Kapha. These three doshas are called the tridoshas. A balance of these life forces is essential for proper health. Any imbalance amongst the tridoshas causes a state of unhealthiness or disease. The Ayurveda says that this imbalance is the effect of the constant reaction of the internal environment of body to the changes in the external environment. It is required that we bring back normalcy to the balance of these doshas, to the state of healthiness. |
